That’s according to Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Tim Parkin.
The traffic stop and foot chase happened around 3 p.m. in a busy area of northwest Rochester. A photo from the scene shows four squad cars in the area of the stop.

Parkin says a deputy stopped the vehicle near the intersection of West Circle Dr. and Valleyhigh Rd. Northwest for a moving violation.
After initial contact with the deputy, the driver, identified as 22-year-old Christian Davis, fled from the scene on foot, authorities say.
Parkin said the Rochester man, who had several active arrest warrants from other counties, initially gave a false name to the deputy.
Other deputies and a K-9 responded to the area to assist with the search for Davis. The deputies found and captured Davis shortly after the back-up arrived at the scene without further incident, Parkin said.
Olmsted County Adult Detention Center records indicate Davis was booked into the jail around 3:50 p.m.
The sheriff’s office’s report indicates Davis could face charges connected to his alleged fleeing of the traffic stop, along with the charges he faces in connection with the arrest warrants.
