It won't be long, and the kids will be off from school for several weeks. Your son or daughter will come home from college. Soon, all the food will be gone from your fridge, and you may also hear the familiar refrain of, "I'm bored." Fortunately for you, the 52 streaming services you pay for have some really great shows you can binge-watch that should keep everyone occupied for hours. Here are a few of the most talked-about shows that your family can stream during your holiday downtime.

Stranger Things - Netflix

Perhaps no show will be talked about more than the final season of Stranger Things. Season five is broken up into several parts. Deadline reports that volume one, the first four episodes, came out on November 26th. Volume 2, the next three episodes, comes out on Christmas Day. Then, the series finale arrives in theaters and on Netflix, on New Year's Eve. Prepare to say goodbye to the upside down!

Alien: Earth - Hulu

Keeping with the sci-fi theme, Alien: Earth takes place in the year 2120, when the planet is ruled by corporations, according to Deadline. One of those corporations unlocks a new technology: hybrids enhanced with human consciousness. But a spaceship carrying creatures from across the universe crash-lands on Earth, pitting the new hybrids against creatures more terrifying than anyone could imagine. If you loved the Alien series of movies, this show will keep you busy for days...if you're brave enough.

All's Fair - Hulu

OK, so the show is produced by and stars Kim Kardashian. But it also features a stellar female cast that includes Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts, and Niecy Nash-Betts. Deadline reports that the show follows a group of female divorce lawyers who leave a male-dominated firm to open their own practice. The show was Hulu's biggest scripted series premiere in three years.

Task - HBO

If you're into crime dramas, Task has a stellar 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, according to Deadline. From the creator of Mare of Easttown, Task stars Mark Ruffalo as a former priest turned FBI agent. He is tracking a string of violent robberies, and the lead suspect is a family man played by Tom Pelphrey. The cat-and-mouse game builds the entire series.

Deadline reports that season one saw Wednesday try to fit in at her parents' alma mater, a private school for outcasts and monsters. Landman: Season 2 - Paramount+

Season two of Taylor Sheridan's latest hit TV show is in full swing. Deadline reports that Landman is the story of the oil business and people doing whatever it takes to make a fortune. Billy Bob Thornton returns, as does Demi Moore. and Sam Elliott joins the cast for season two.

IT: Welcome to Derry - HBO

Pennywise is back. If you thought the killer clown was too much in IT and IT: Part Two, then prepare yourself for this 8-part series. Deadline reports that the show takes place in the 1960s, and further explores the origins of IT, and why it haunts the town of Derry. The show features an outstanding cast of young actors, and Bill Skarsgard returns as Pennywise. It is terrifying TV in the best possible way.
