Iowa Mail Carrier Arrested For Stealing All The Menards Rebates
A US Postal Service employee has been arrested after reports of stolen rebate cards from Menards.
The Wapello County Sheriff's Office received a complaint from someone on June 24, 2026, regarding their Menards rebate being stolen and then later reportedly redeemed at the Menards store in Ottumwa.

During an investigation with some help from Menards Corporation, an Ottumwa mail carrier was found to be the person who redeemed it.
Doing a little more looking, authorities found that this was a pattern that had been happening all the way back to 2024.
What investigators found, was that a ton of Menards rebates mailed to customers didn't make it to the customers.
Authorities also determined that a lot of receipts mailed in by customers to Menards didn't make it - at least under the name they were initially mailed. They were stolen, and submitted under the suspect's name.
Police arrested 45-year-old Jill Ranae Brown on a charge of fourth-degree theft.
The Wapello County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by officials with Menards Corporation and the United States Postal Service Office of Inspector General.
