I know many people love the classic Starbucks PSL. I'm not one of those people. It's way too sweet for me! When I think pumpkin spice, I want some of that spice you'd get in a pumpkin pie.

Thank goodness what's been called the 'World's Best' Pumpkin Spice Latte is back and only available in Rochester. Yes, we're talking about Cafe Steam's PSL. Have you tried it? Here's why you need to.

I will give props to Starbucks for their pumpkin cold foam drink that they have this time of year, that's really delicious. But if you want to have a pumpkin spice latte that's delicious and not too sweet, let me introduce you to Cafe Steam's PSL.

Here's the thing about Cafe Steam's PSL: they use spices in their drink instead of all of the sweetness that's in the Starbucks PSL. It's warm both physically and flavor-wise from the spices and, to me, it tastes how a pumpkin spice latte should.

Pumpkin Spice Latte Now Available at Cafe Steam in Rochester, MN

When Cafe Steam announced the return of their PSL last year, they mentioned that their drink is made with a "superior house made syrup blending all of your favorite fall spices". It's even been dubbed the 'World's Best Pumpkin Spice' by one of their regulars named Craig. Shout out, Craig, I 100% agree with you.

For 2026, Cafe Steam's PSL is officially available as of September 3rd! They didn't mention an end date for serving up the PSL but in the past it's been available until Thanksgiving.
