Meet the Iowa and Wisconsin Dogs Participating in the 2026 Puppy Bowl

We've got the Big Game coming up in less than a month, and you know what else that means? The Puppy Bowl is coming!

This will be the 22nd year of the Puppy Bowl, which takes place in the early afternoon on the same day as the Big Game. And this year, there will be pups from both Iowa and Wisconsin who will be taking to the field.

I was really hoping there would be a Minnesota dog, like there was last year, but not this time. Hey, having puppies from our neighboring states participating is exciting, too!

2026 Puppy Bowl

The Puppy Bowl will be on Animal Planet and Discovery. It also looks like you can stream it on HBO Max, too.

Two teams, Team Ruff and Team Fluff, will face off on Sunday, February 8th at 1 PM to compete for the Lombarky Trophy.

There's also the prize for Most Pupular. The dogs in the starting lineup for both teams are looking for our votes. You can cast your votes now in hopes of your favorite dog winning the Most Pupular prize at the Puppy Bowl.

Dogs in the 2026 Puppy Bowl from Iowa and Wisconsin

Let's meet the two Wisconsin dogs first. And remember, all of these dogs are up for adoption (but likely not for long).

Up first, we have Anson, who will be playing for Team Ruff.

Anson comes from Underdog Pet Rescue in Madison, WI. For this year's Puppy Bowl, they're featuring quite a few pups with special needs. Anson is one of them as he's deaf.

Up next is Arvo, who is Anson's brother! But Arvo will be playing on Team Fluff.

Arvo is also from Underdog Pet Rescue in Madison, WI.

Now, let's head over to the Iowa dogs being featured in the Puppy Bowl. First is Asiago.

Asiago is playing from Team Ruff and is from AHeinz57 Pet Rescue in De Soto, IA.

Next is Atticus.

Atticus is also from AHeinz57 Pet Rescue, but he's playing for Team Fluff.

Also from AHeinz57 Pet Rescue is Boopsie.

Boopsie will be playing with Asiago on Team Ruff.

And finally, we have Dandelion.

Dandelion is, surprise, surprise, also from AHeinz57 Pet Rescue and will be playing for Team Ruff.
