Major Update Planned for Minnesota’s 12 Sam’s Clubs

For those seeking more benefits, there is the Sam's Club Plus membership priced at $110. This upgraded membership includes perks like free shipping, complimentary curbside pickup, and discounts on pharmacy and optical services.

By the end of the year, customers visiting any of the 12 Sam's Club locations in Minnesota, including Apple Valley, Bloomington, Eagan, Fridley, Hermantown, Mankato, Maple Grove, Rochester, Shakopee, St. Cloud, White Bear Lake, and Woodbury, will witness significant changes.

If you've ever shopped at Sam's Club, you're familiar with the routine of having your receipt checked by an associate near the exit. While it's a standard procedure, it can sometimes lead to delays, especially during busy hours when lines are long.

Major Change Coming To The 12 Sam's Clubs in Minnesota

Sam’s Club has introduced new A.I. exit technology (pictured above) that will speed up the checkout process for its members.

Now, after paying at a register or via the Scan & Go feature, computer vision, and digital technology automatically confirm payment for all items in a member’s cart as they leave.

Sam’s Club has implemented the technology in 120 stores and will have it installed in all stores by the end of the year.

Todd Garner, chief product officer at Sam’s Club, said:  "Both exit technology and Scan & Go are driving new levels of convenience and raising member satisfaction among members."
