Thieves Target Minnesota’s Longest Drive-Thru Christmas Show

The holidays are all about traditions, and one of my absolute favorites is our annual trip to Minnesota's longest drive-thru Christmas light display. I’ve been taking my son since he was a baby, and now that he’s 10, it’s even more fun to see how much he enjoys it. His younger sister loves it too, so it’s become a special tradition for all of us.

We bundle up in our winter gear, head out, and take in the stunning light displays, and the kids always look forward to seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus. Unfortunately, some grinches have targeted the attraction and stolen from it, which is truly disappointing.

Minnesota's Longest Drive-Thru Christmas Light Show is free—though they do accept donations for charity. With millions of twinkling lights, it’s the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and create lasting memories with the family.

Organizers were putting the final touches on this year’s display when they discovered some disappointing news: thieves had targeted the attraction. Read about the stolen items and what was caught on camera below.

"We're bummed to report some of our displays have gone missing over the past few weeks," they posted on the event's Facebook page.

The team behind the holiday attraction asked for the return of the stolen items: "To the individuals who have been taking down displays at Sibley Park, we would like them back. Our displays are very expensive, and it's disheartening to know they've gone missing."

Thankfully, the park has security cameras, and organizers have images of the thieves. "We would like to ask that those involved return them to our warehouse this week, and no questions will be asked."
