We've got a new bar coming to Rochester, Minnesota! I'm someone who loves to go out with friends, grab a drink, and just chat. And now, we're going to have a new place to do that, and the location has a really interesting story.

This new bar is going to be on North Broadway near downtown at 908 N Broadway Ave. It's right by Sacred Heart Studios tattoo shop and 2 blocks north of Great Harvest.

The Shoe Beverage Bar Opening Soon in Rochester, MN

The building, which is 120 years old, looks like an old house, but I don't know if anyone actually ever lived full-time there. In its past, that house used to be a shoe repair shop. And that's what inspired the name of the new bar.

The new bar will be called The Shoe Beverage Bar, in honor of the building's former life as a shoe repair shop.

The Shoe just launched their Facebook page at the beginning of December, but work is well underway. They shared pictures of the work being done on the inside last week.

The owners are Matt and Frankie Jewison (Matt owns Anytime Fitness in Rochester), Jack Lester (owner of Jack's Bottle Shop), and Eric Kramlinger. The four of them are hard at work making a cozy place for people to come a grab a drink.

Their Facebook page says, "Great things start in little rooms." I think that's perfect for The Shoe because the house is small, but it'll make for the perfect, intimate spot to hang out with good friends and good drinks.

I'm not 100% certain what kind of drinks they'll serve, but I'll bet it'll be a casual, relaxing place with beer, wine, and cocktails for all to enjoy.

When Will The Shoe Beverage Bar in Rochester, MN Open
