A 'Dirty' Soda Shop Could Be Coming to Rochester, MN

'Dirty' sodas have gone up in popularity all thanks to the show 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives'. And a 'dirty' soda shop of our own could be coming to Rochester, Minnesota.

What are 'Dirty' Sodas?

If you aren't familiar with 'dirty' sodas, they're sort of like cocktails but non-alcoholic. You can pick your pop of choice and then mix in whatever you'd like.

This is popular in the show 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' because, in the Mormon faith, you're not allowed to drink alcohol. So someone came up with this 'dirty' soda idea to still have some fun with mixing up drinks without that alcohol in it.

I think it's a great idea, especially if you don't drink for whatever reason. You can still have a fun drink without the booze.

However, some of the 'dirty' soda concoctions out there are nasty. I remember seeing a video of Dua Lipa making a 'dirty' soda and she put in jalapenos, hot sauce, pickles, all sorts of stuff. That one doesn't sound good to me but there are plenty of good-sounding recipes out there.

Regardless, I think a 'dirty' soda shop would be kind of fun to have in town.

'Dirty' Soda Shop Might be Coming to Rochester, MN

On the Rochester, MN Reddit page, a user put up a post this morning asking for people's opinions on having a 'dirty' soda shop in town.

The user writes: "My wife and I are local business owners, and we’re thinking of opening something new in town—a "Dirty" Soda Shop—and we’d love to hear your thoughts on it!"

They're hoping that the place would be "a great spot to hang out with friends, host casual get-togethers, or be a fun stop for visitors".

But as smart business people, they want feedback from their potential clients.
