Radioactive Shrimp Recall
The original recall was issued on August 21st, 2025. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) writes that the shrimp was contaminated with something called Cesium-137, which is a man-made radioactive isotope.
What Happens if You Eat Radioactive Shrimp
If you have any of the recalled shrimp, DO NOT eat it!
If you eat something contaminated with Cesium-137, it can lead to an increased risk of cancer. You won't turn into an alien or grow a third ear like this Louisiana Senator claims. Sigh...

Anyway, you'll want to check your freezer to make sure you don't have this frozen shrimp.
