New Bar on North Broadway Announces Opening Date

Back in December, I told you about the exciting new bar coming to Rochester, Minnesota. Now there's an official opening date, and I'm excited to check them out!

New Bar Called The Shoe Opening in Rochester, MN

The new bar is called The Shoe Beverage Bar (or just The Shoe for short), and they'll be located on North Broadway, just a couple of blocks north of Great Harvest, at 908 N Broadway Ave.

The building where The Shoe is opening is a 120-year-old house. It actually used to be a shoe repair shop, and that's how the new owners came up with the bar name.

Their Facebook page Intro says:

Great things start in little rooms.

Well, based on what I've seen, the space is definitely on the smaller side, but it'll be the perfect spot to grab a drink and have some quality time with friends in an intimate environment.

When I first wrote about them at the beginning of December, they were deep in construction and were hard at work with the hope of opening at the end of January 2026.

In the first picture below, you can see the owners: Matt and Frankie Jewison (Matt owns Anytime Fitness in Rochester), Jack Lester (owner of Jack's Bottle Shop), and Eric Kramlinger.

And just last night, they provided us with an exciting update: The Shoe will be opening on Saturday, January 31st!

The inside looks super cozy, exactly what I was hoping for, and I'm very excited to check them out sometime.

When they open on the 31st, they'll be open 11 AM - 11 PM.
