What’s The Big Building Being Built Off Of HWY 52 North of Rochester

The other day during our morning show, my cohost mentioned how she's started saying things her mother would say back in the day. This sparked a conversation about moments when we've realized we're becoming like our parents.

Some people mentioned expressions, others noted physical resemblances growing stronger with age, and some admitted to adopting quirky habits, like lowering the radio volume to see better while driving. I just realized I'm becoming a little nosy.

Growing up in a small town, everyone was nosy, and they knew everyone else's business. As a kid, I remember how my parents would load up the car to check out any news in town.

Now, as I turn into my parents, I am also curious to know what's happening around town, like what's being built when I see construction.

Recently, I was driving home from the cities, and I noticed a new building going up just off Highway 52, just north of Rochester.

My curiosity got the best of me, and I wanted to know more about the construction.

This project is located just north of the Oronoco exit, approximately 10 miles north of Rochester.

I frequently travel this route and typically only encounter road construction so I couldn't help but wonder about this new development.

What's The Big Building Being Built Off Of HWY 52 North of Rochester

I pulled over to get a better look and saw a group of people working diligently on the project.  As I drove past, I noticed a sign that revealed the name of the new business, so I stopped to take a few pictures.

The 5,800-square-foot building in Oronoco is going to be a restaurant.

According to their website, "Two Sisters Kitchen + Bar, will offer a family atmosphere—bridging comfort with a commitment to serving fresh, made-from-scratch food."

If everything goes according to plan, they hope to open for business this summer. I will definitely have to revisit to check out the place in a less nosy way.
