One of Minnesota’s Most Rumored Haunted Hotels Is in Rochester
"Walking down the hallway to the nearest elevator is when I became to notice weird energy. My family was ahead of me, and I had this constant feeling that something was watching me. I looked back a few times, and then the last time I looked there was "something" that went right into a door. I couldn't make sense of it at the time, but it appeared to be a black ball of something going into a door."
Immediate chills!!

That creepy review wasn't written about a hotel halfway across the country or hours away in another state. That is a real guest experience reported right here in downtown Rochester at the historic Kahler Grand Hotel.
You guys know I love old architecture and local history, but I draw the line at roommates from the afterlife. And the Kahler has been rumored to be haunted for years with stories involving the ghosts of former Mayo Clinic patients
According to Minnesota Haunted Hotels, there have been reports of strange sounds and smells, along with sudden temperature changes.
So, serious question: are you brave enough to actually stay in a haunted hotel room?
Because, that's a hard pass for me. I can binge scary movies for days, no problem. But throw something real my way, and I’m out faster than you can say “boo.”
If you're braver than I am (and let's be honest, you probably are), there are nine hotels across Minnesota with some seriously creepy histories and guest reviews. Check them out below... if you dare!
