Nonstop Flights to Maui Now Returning To Minnesota

Good news if you're looking to head to Hawaii: Minnesota's largest airline just announced it's bringing back nonstop flights to Maui.

Delta Resumes Popular Nonstop Route from MSP to Maui

Hawaii is one of those bucket list destinations, right? And if you're looking to go soak up the sun and fun of the 50th state, getting there will soon get a lot easier from the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Because the largest airline serving Minnesota (that would be Delta Air Lines, btw) just announced it's bringing back non-stop flights to Maui next winter.

If you recall, Delta first introduced its nonstop MSP to Maui flights in June 2023, but stopped them that September after those horrific wildfires tore through parts of Maui. But now, Minnesota-based travel site Thrifty Traveler notes Delta will resume from Minnesota and Boston and is increasing service from New York City, Atlanta and Detroit.

New Flight Schedule and Start Dates for Winter 2026

Thrifty Traveler says that those new nonstop flights from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to Kahului Airport (OGG) will officially start next winter-- just in time for the 2026 holiday season:

The new seasonal route is scheduled to begin Dec. 19, starting with five flights a week, temporarily ramping up to daily service during the thick of the holidays before the seasonal service ends April 11.

Tickets for the new season route from MSP to OGG are expected to go on sale this weekend, Thifty Traveler noted. Of course, Delta already offers nonstop service from MSP to Honolulu, and if you're looking to fly on off-peak days, like Tuesday to Tuesday in March, prices run between $1,000 to $1,100 a ticket.

If you're wondering just how long a flight from Minnesota to Hawaii is, Delta had previously said the nonstop flight from MSP to OGG was scheduled to last 9 hours and 10 minutes, with the return flight back to cold and snowy Minnesota scheduled for 7 hours and 50 minutes.
