This Southwest Rochester Home Is a Total 1970s Time Capsule
I am a total sucker for homes with serious character, and the second I laid eyes on this place, I was obsessed.
If you've ever wanted to hop in a time machine and land in the 70's, this massive Southwest Rochester estate is about as close as it gets.
Tucked away on more than 11 wooded acres, this place is BIG, beautiful, and seriously cool. This mid-century modern home feels like something you’d stumble across in a movie. And the best part? So much of that original retro charm is still here.

We’re talking a crazy unique wood trellis in the entryway, stunning original light fixtures, soaring vaulted ceilings, those gorgeous exposed wood beams, massive windows, plus brick wood-burning fireplaces on both levels.
But can we talk about the screened-in porch off the dining room for a second? Because I could absolutely see myself there with a giant cup of coffee, watching the sun come up over the trees. Nobody talk to me. I'm busy enjoying my little slice of heaven. A girl can dream!

Then there’s the land. So much space and privacy, a horse barn, and access to another 39 acres of shared neighborhood land. All while still being just minutes from downtown Rochester.
I'm telling you, this one has SO much personality and might be one of my favorite finds yet. Grab your coffee, take a peek through the pictures, and come tour this seriously cool ’70s gem with me.
