If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to climb a towering fire truck ladder, pull a hose across the pavement, or train side-by-side with real firefighters, now’s your chance. This isn’t a simulation on your phone or some reality show binge, this is the real deal.

Whether you’re considering a career in emergency services or simply want to try something bold and unforgettable, the Women’s Fire Expo is your opportunity to step into the boots, and maybe even the mindset, of a firefighter.

This one-day, hands-on event is designed to inspire, educate, and empower women who are curious about the fire service or just looking for a new challenge. Think of it as part workout, part skills course, part instant confidence boost!

You'll get to rotate through interactive stations, learning everything from gear basics to firefighting techniques, all while guided by experienced firefighters who know exactly what it takes to handle the heat.

It's all part of the one day event put on by the Rochester Fire Department. It's the 4th Annual Women’s Fire Expo on Sunday, October 5th, 2025, from noon until 5p.m. at the Olmsted County Public Safety Training Center. And yes, it’s exciting as it sounds.

Oh, and did I mention lunch and a free event t-shirt are included? Women and girls ages 16+ are welcome, and it’s only $10 to participate. Registration closes September 21st, so grab your spot and get ready to spend your Sunday doing something you’ll never forget.
