John Marshall Wins Section Championship

The John Marshall High School football team is headed to the State Tournament. A fourth-quarter interception for a touchdown gave the Rockets the lead over Northfield and JM went on to win the Section 1 Class 5A championship by a score of 15-12 at the John Marshall stadium Saturday night. JM will open the state tourney next Saturday against the Section 2 champion Mankato West Scarlets. It will be the Rockets first appearance in the state tournament since 2004.
