The caller said the driver got out and began walking to the house. The man was apparently scared off when the homeowner’s dog began barking and drove away.

A deputy spotted the vehicle a few minutes later and tried to make a stop but the driver sped off. The deputy broke off the chase when the vehicle drove through a field. The deputy located the vehicle stuck near the Zumbro River and arrested the driver.

He was identified as 32-year-old Tyler Stroud. He was taken into custody without incident. He is expected to be charged with fleeing a police officer. Evidence of narcotics trafficking was also found in his truck.
