If you're planning on buying one, plan on your phone bill going up.

With every new generation of iPhone, the amount of data people use doubles.  Currently the average iPhone user goes through 1.4 gigabytes of data on their phone every month.  That means if you get an iPhone 6, it could jump to almost three gigabytes, and that's going to be a hefty price jump at just about any cell phone carrier.

So how does the average person go through so much data?  Streaming video uses a lot of it.  You'll use a few gigabytes by watching an hour of Netflix in HD .
