Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police arrested a cookie thief over the weekend.

A Girl Scout cookie thief.

Officers sent to check a business burglary alarm late Saturday night stopped a vehicle that was leaving the scene.

Inside the vehicle they found 20 cases of Girl Scout cookies valued at $1200.

The driver was arrested and is expected to be charged.

He was identified as 43-year-old Joel Whittaker of Oronoco.

The door of the building where the cookies had been stored (former Fareway Foods store) was still open.
