Man Sentenced for Eyota Liquor Store Robbery
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) -- An Austin man Has been sentenced to 68 months in prison for an armed robbery at a liquor store in Eyota last fall.
28-year-old David Martinez previously entered guilty pleas to first-degree aggravated robbery, a felony drug offense, and a felony DWI charge in Olmsted County Court.
Martinez was arrested less than 15 minutes after the holdup at Buddy’s Liquor Store on October 22nd because now retired Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Dean Olson came upon him having car trouble near Dover and recognized the motorist as the robber from the description that was broadcast by the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department.
