Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine will be offering sports physicals for middle and high school student athletes living in southeastern Minnesota, western Wisconsin and northern Iowa next Wednesday (July 19th) and on Saturday, July 22nd at the department’s facility on the third floor of the Dan Abraham Healthy Living Center in downtown Rochester.

The exams next Wednesday will be offered from 6 to 7:30 p.m. by appointment only, while the following Saturday only walk-ins will be accepted from 8-11 a.m.

The examinations will be performed by physicians and residents from the Mayo Clinic’s Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and Family Medicine Departments with assistance from athletic trainers, physical therapists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

The cost of the exam is $20, which must be paid by check or cash. Forms for the physicals, which are currently available at high school athletic offices, school websites or through the Minnesota State High School League, must be filled out prior to the physical.
