St Paul (KROC AM News) -  COVID-19 has now killed more Minnesotans than the population of Dodge Center.

Nearly 350 Minnesotans have died from the contagious virus in the past week.

The state’s death total has gone over 3200.

The total number of positive cases has swelled to more than 270,000 with over 13,000 confirmed on Friday and Saturday.

The number of reported tests was close to 3.8-million as of Saturday.

The number of tested Minnesotans had risen to over 2.3-million.

Olmsted County reported over 250 new positive cases Friday and Saturday, increasing its total to over 6,000.

Two local schools are listed in the state Health Department’s latest Covid report - Mayo High School in Rochester and Dover/Eyota Middle School.

The list includes schools that “reported 5 or more confirmed cases of COVID-19 in students or staff who were in the building while infectious during a two-week reporting period.”
