Minnesota parents and students are anxiously waiting to hear what healthcare and education officials have to say next week. Right now there are three options on the table - a full return to school, distance learning, or a mix of both. The Rochester School District recently issued its recommendations for operating the schools under the three scenarios and is seeking input from parents and students. State guidance is expected next Thursday, July 30th.

The map below was put together by authority.org, a school review site, and shows Minnesota is among the top states that oppose sending students back to schools. Authority.org does education-based trend maps every month and this one used geotagged twitter data from July 1st on, tracking over 250,000 tweets.
The top states calling to keep students home this fall are as follows:

1. Maine
2. North Dakota
3. Oregon
4. Arizona
5. New Mexico
6. Florida
7. Minnesota
8. Colorado
9. Hawaii
10. Ohio
