Many of us have memories of spending time with our families doing some fun family activities. For some of us it meant going to the pumpkin patch, for others it was the apple or berry orchard. One Minnesota berry farm is closing after being in business for 42 years.

WCCO says that Bill and Nancy Bauer started their strawberry and blueberry farm in Champlin just north of Minneapolis in 1977. For the past 42 years, they have put smiles on people's faces by allowing them to create family memories that last a lifetime. The article says they have employed hundreds of teenagers over the years.

The family announced the other day in this Facebook post they are calling it quits. They thank their customers for putting smiles on their faces each year and said they are going to miss it so much. They said that it is time for the next adventure that life has to offer. We are super sad to see them quite farming, but we are excited for their next adventure.

They did encourage everyone next summer to look at the Minnesota Grown website to see where you can continue your traditions at another farm in the land of ten thousand of lakes.

We wish them the best in their next adventure and hopefully, they will enjoy retired life.
