This is what you call "Minnesota Viking Nice".  Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway helped rescue two people on Lake Minnetonka yesterday afternoon.  The couple was stuck near the spillway at Gray's Bay Dam.

Crystal and Ed Alexis were waiting for the water patrol to come and try to keep their boat from slamming into the rocks, or getting sucked over the spillway.  That's when Greenway jumped into action.

Chad got in the water and helped push the boat into an inlet and waited with the couple until water patrol arrived.  Then he helped the deputy get the craft tied up.  People on the pier thought his heroic efforts were quite spectacular.

So what did Crystal and Ed think of Chad Greenway coming to their aid?

"We didn't even know, we didn't even know," the couple said.

So now that they know who their knight in soaking wet shorts is, Chad will clearly have super-fans for life, right?

"Oh, it's always been the Vikings," says Crystal, but her husband has a different view.  "I'm a Chicago Bears fan, I'm just going to keep it real," said Ed with a laugh.

"Good thing he told me that after!" joked Greenway.

And his kindness didn't stop there.  Chad then drove the soaking wet couple to go retrieve their boat and car.
