Minnesota Youth Hockey Coach Dies from On-Ice Injury
Coach Harv Graczyk was a loved youth hockey coach for the St. Michael Albertville Knights and the North Wright County River Hawks.
Last month, Coach Graczyk fell and hit his head on the ice while coaching. This fall caused a traumatic brain injury. His family set up a GoFundMe to get help with paying for the medical bills that were piling up.
Unfortunately, on Saturday, his family posted the following on his GoFundMe page:
With heavy hearts we say that our beloved Harold Graczyk has passed away. If there is a test for Angelhood, he surely aced it and is in good hands now. Heaven is lucky to have such a kind, supportive and generous man.
The funds that were left over on Coach Graczyk's GoFundMe will now go towards funeral costs.
