Ask a Minnesotan what the nickname is for our state and there is a good chance you'll hear a few different answers.  I asked that question on my radio show today on Y-105FM and got 6 different answers from my fans.  I listed those below so you could see them - there might even be a few that are new to you!

Thanks to the data pulled in by Spokeo, we now know the official nickname for the great state of Minnesota.

Minnesota’s Famous Nickname: The Story You Didn’t Know

Every state is known for something.  And usually that "something" corresponds to its nickname.

For example, Wisconsin is the largest cheese producer in America.  As a result of all of the dairy cows and farms throughout the state helping make that cheese happen, the nickname "America's Dairyland" was chosen.  It should be "the Kwik Trip State"...but whatever.

As an Iowa State University alum, the nickname for Iowa hurts and in my opinion, does NOT fully represent what the state is known for.  For those of us who are Cyclones, you'll understand when you scroll through the list below and see what was picked.
