Minnesota’s Popular 100-Mile Garage Sale Less Than A Month Away
I have a lot of favorite times of the year, and this is one of them: garage sale season! It's almost here and to officially mark what I think is the start of the season is the massive and popular 100-Mile Garage Sale in eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
This past weekend I did see a garage sale sign and I was tempted but I don't know, I think it's just a tad too early. I think May is a good starting point for garage sales, so the 100-Mile Garage Sale is doing it right in my book.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 5th through Sunday, May 8th, that's when you can browse tons and tons of garage sales all day. The 100 miles runs along the Mississippi River and there will be garage sales on both the Minnesota side and the Wisconsin side. On the Minnesota side, it goes from Winona to Hastings and on the Wisconsin side, it goes from Prescott to Fountain City.
As more garage sales get announced, they'll be added to their website. Many of the sales also list when they'll be selling so you know which ones may have something you're interested in.
My husband doesn't typically go garage sale-ing with me. I think it's because he knows I'll spend forever looking at all the goodies that people are selling. But my mom and I are big fans! We were going to go to the 100-Mile Garage Sale last year but it didn't work out. We did go to the big one in southeast Minnesota though. I believe that one is also a 100-mile garage sale.
