With Halloween only a week away, retailers are already looking forward to the holiday shopping season-- and Minnesota's Target just unveiled its holiday deals for this year.

The holidays really are the Most Wonderful Time of the Year for stores and shops both here in Rochester, and across the country, right? Some surveys estimate that retailers can earn nearly 30-percent of their total yearly sales during the holiday season.

And Minnesota's own Target is no exception. They released their holiday deals for this year yesterday, and it's a pretty aggressive plan. Target is, of course, trying to stay even with other retailers like Walmart, all while taking on online giant, Amazon.

To that end, this USA Today story said that Target will be offering free two-day shipping for the first time. Which means that, starting November 1st and running through December 22nd, you shop online at Target, and get your items within 48 hours-- without paying extra.

Target's also making drive-up service available at roughly 1,000 of its locations across the U.S. by the end of this month. That means you can shop for items on the Target app and then head to your local store and have it delivered to your car-- within an hour.

And, Target is also offering an expanded toy section this holiday season, too-- the first season since Toys R Us went out of business. You can check out all of Target's holiday deals HERE. Happy shopping!
