Eden Prairie, MN (KROC-AM News) Miss Olmsted County won the Miss Minnesota Scholarship Pageant that was held over the weekend.  

Receiving the crown at the Saturday evening event that was held in Eden Prairie was Rachel Latuff, who will make dozens of appearances around the state this summer and then head to Atlantic City in September to compete in the Miss America event.

According to the Miss Minnesota organization, Latuff is a Secondary Visual Arts teacher for St. Louis County Schools. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota–Duluth with a BA degree in K-12 Art Education.

This year’s 2nd Runner Up was Miss Rochester Madeline Van Ert.

There were 27 contestants in the state pageant this year, which marked the 80th anniversary of the Minnesota event.
