Morrison County, MN (KROC AM News) – One man was killed after the motorcycle struck a hay bale that fell off of a truck and trailer while traveling down a Central Minnesota highway Thursday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol a Dodge Ram and trailer, driven by 57-year-old Roger Lanners of Royalton, was traveling southbound on Highway 25 near Brainerd hauling hay around 5:30 p.m. The truck and trailer lost three hay bales into traffic and a motorcycle, driven by 64-year-old Myles McGrath of Pierz, crashed into one of the hay bales and went off the road into the median ditch.

McGrath was transported to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale where he was pronounced dead.
