Flying can be a very stressful experience for some people. Back in October of 2015 MSP started bringing in therapy dogs to help ease passengers who were anxious about flying. Just this past week, MSP has now added a cat to their Animal Ambassador crew. Her name is Stitches. She's an 11-year-old, 13 lb, calico-tabby mix that joins a crew of 96 dogs.

I had no idea that this kind of thing existed at MSP! This is such a great idea. Unfortunately, Stitches isn't always hanging out at the airport, she's only there "on Fridays in the north rotunda in Terminal 1 and at the entrance to Concourse C," according to the Star Tribune.

This isn't Stitches' first gig. "She has been a therapy cat for the past three years through Pet Partners, a nonprofit that registers therapy dogs and other animals." During that time she has visited nursing homes.

If you're ever at MSP looking for Stitches, she's the one riding around in a stroller with a sign that says "Pet Me." She has to be in a stroller as also on a leash, it's part of Pet Partners guidelines.

The Star Tribune writes that according to spokesman John Anderson, MSP's Animal Ambassador program is "the third-largest program of its kind in the country and a treasured part of the airport community."
