Cool New Alice In Wonderland Mural at Rochester Pizza Place

It's worth a trip to Rochester, Minnesota's Mr. Pizza North (4040 28th St NW) to check out their new Pizza Party Mural.

Matt Holt, who owns Sacred Heart Studios, a popular tattoo shop in Rochester, has had a hand in murals all over Rochester. Looking at the artwork, the clear lines, and the vivid take on pop culture characters, its easy to see why people like his ink art

The Mr. Pizza North parking lot had just been treated, so I couldn't get far enough away to get a good full shot.

It's called 'A Mad Pizza Party' and as you can see, a lot of characters you know and, maybe, even a few you've forgotten...like Rosie, the Jetson's maid. Check out the video below, it's super interesting to watch the mural grow.

According to a story on KTTC (featuring an awesome shot of Rochester's favorite TV Photog, Chuck Sibley), the mural was added to draw attention. "Championship Dining General Manager Steph Crowson said. 'When people drive by, they can look at it and be like what is that place.'"

The Freedom Rock was originally established in 1999 in a rural Iowa community and has since spread across the midwest and country! Artist Ray 'Bubba' Sorensen, repaints the rock every year with a new Thank You to veterans on Memorial Day.
