The U.S. Postal Service previewed the new Elvis Presley Commemorative Forever stamp today and also joined with Sony Music's RCA/Legacy Recordings to announce an upcoming exclusive CD titled 'Elvis Forever' which features 18 hits including a new performance of Elvis’ inspiring song “If I Can Dream” as you’ve never heard it before

The release of the stamp and CD coincides with this year's Elvis Week celebration at Graceland taking place that week. On the morning of August 12th, Priscilla Presley will join the Postmaster General in dedicating the new Elvis Forever stamp.  The Elvis Forever CD will be available online and in many Post Offices on August 12th as well.  The public is encouraged to tweet using #ElvisForever.

This is just the latest in the Music Icons series, launched in 2013, which features musicians who broke musical boundaries. The series include Lydia Mendoza, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin. It's only appropriate the Elvis Presley will now be on a Forever stamp as his legacy will undoubtedly live forever as the King of Rock and Roll.
