New Home Needed for Unique Cat in Minnesota
You know when you meet an animal and have an instant connection? Just the other day, that happened for me as I was getting a tour at Paws and Claws in Rochester, Minnesota. One of the sweetest cats saw me...I saw him...and I wish he could come home with me but I know my Saint Bernard would have a few words about that choice. But, this cat has enough love for more than just me...he will probably love you too!
Two Best (Furry) Friends Are Looking For Their Forever Home in Minnesota
In Southeast Minnesota, one of the organizations that helps animals find new homes is Paws and Claws Humane Society. This week, we are featuring a new pet each day and we know that if you read the stories and share them on social media, these pets will find their forever homes!
Today, you get to meet Carson.
Some people make the world special just by being in it." - Selffa.com.
I'll bet you're a special person, aren't you? I think I'm special too. I'm a cute, lovable five-year-old black and white kitty boy called Carson. My people named me Bruce, but since being returned to the shelter, I've been called by my original name, Carson.
I was an affectionate, energetic kitten. In my home, I liked my alone time, but I enjoyed receiving affection and petting. I really bonded with the disabled adult son in the home. I may have understood him, I guess.
See, I'm different from many kitties. I have pica. Some kitties get it (people too). It means that we eat things we shouldn't. In my case, I chew on cloth - blankets, soft toys, and things like that. It can be very dangerous, as I found out the hard way. I get lots of TLC from staff and volunteers here at the shelter! I am always up for playing with them, or on my own. I love playing with water under the faucet! I can play with plastic balls and all sorts of toys that I can't chew or swallow, and I can be comfortable in a space without blankets.
I trust that you are loving, smart, creative, and capable of giving me the kind of care that a special boy like me needs. Give me a window where I can watch the birds and squirrels and soak up the sun. Let me soak up your love! I will be a happy Carson boy! Let's share our special lives together!
