Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  The Minnesota Department of Transportation is advising motorists of some changes to traffic patterns beginning Monday as the Highway 52 bridge deck construction project in Rochester moves to its next stage.

Traffic on northbound Highway 63 at the Highway 52 interchange will be limited to a single lane for bridge painting. The right lane is expected to be closed for about 10 days, and additional lane closures will continue through October as the painting progresses across the bridge. In addition, future lane closures will also affect southbound Highway 63.

MNDOT is expecting traffic to resume on both Highway 52 bridges on October 24th, weather permitting. The entire $4.2 million project is expected to be completed in early November.

The ongoing maintenance project being conducted by the Canadian Pacific Railroad in Rochester will move to the railroad crossings on West Silver Lake Drive Northeast this week. The Rochester Public Works Department says it will require closing the roadway between 7th street Northeast and Civic Center Drive starting Monday.

The work is expected to be completed by Friday and this is the last road to be closed for the maintenance project.
