"Find what makes you happy."

Years ago, I thought that I had to run in order to lose weight and get healthier.  Everyone I knew ran.  Most of the fitness posts on social media about women were about running.  So, I bought some running shoes, downloaded the Couch to 5k app and even did a few 5k's.

I did lose weight and amazingly I was able to actually run an entire 5k, but I can tell you one thing for sure ... I wasn't happy.  Running didn't make me feel like all of the photos I was seeing of others on social media.  All those people were smiling and looked all cute in their spandex and there I was, looking like I was going to die as I was trying to just put one foot in front of the other.

Those running shoes went on the shelf for a bit as I was on a mission to find a way to exercise that I thought was fun.  There had to be something that made me smile while also making me sweat.
