Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester police say a woman was driving a car on North Broadway Sunday night when a bullet struck and shattered a passenger side window of the vehicle.

Police Captain John Sherwin says officers were dispatched to the 400 block of 31st Street Northeast shortly before 9:45 PM to investigate reports of gunshots. Witnesses indicated a group of black males on foot got into a confrontation with a group of people in a car and a number of shots were fired before the car and the people on foot left the scene.

Captain Sherwin says one of the bullets fired during the confrontation traveled for blocks and struck the passing vehicle on North Broadway, shattering a passenger side window of the car. The 23-year-old woman driving the vehicle and her 24-year-old male passenger were not injured.
