The Star Tribune reports 38-year-old Nicholas Mullenmaster of St. Paul is charged with first-degree criminal property damage. Authorities say he caused thousands of dollars of damage to sewer lines.

Authorities say repairs were needed after nails were found in a Subway restaurant sewer line three times. Surveillance footage showed a suspect coming out of the restroom before the third instance in August.

Police located Mullenmaster in September after more reports. They say he was coming out of a Leeann Chin bathroom with a Home Depot receipt and a bag of nails matching those that had been flushed.

He is being held at the Dakota County Jail. Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney.
