Los Arcos Kitchen and Cantina opened in September of 2019, out near the Rochester International Airport, where Ground Round used to be. I was there last Friday night enjoying a gigantic seafood burrito and a huge 32oz beer when I heard some really good news. I learned the popular Mexican restaurant is adding a second location in town it should be open this summer.

If you don’t know, you need to know - This restaurant is awesome! The food is always delicious, the portions are HUGE, and the prices are fair. The brothers behind the Mexican restaurant also own Rancho Loco Grill & Bar in Cannon Falls and Red Wing and those restaurants get rave reviews online so it wasn’t surprising to me that Los Arcos quickly became a local favorite.

I was told the airport location is so popular that they're adding a second spot in Northwest Rochester. It was packed when I was there so I wasn't surprised to hear how well they're doing. Unfortunately, the person telling me this didn't have any more info, but Jeff Kiger from the Post Bulletin has the delicious details.

Kiger's report says the second restaurant will be located in the former Baker's Square on the north side of town which is located just south of the Arby's off of the 37th St. exit. Both Rochester Bakers Square locations closed in December of 2018.

I reached out to the owners for more information and will update this story with more details soon.
