Prostitution Bust in Byron
Byron, MN (KROC AM News) -Two women were arrested Wednesday morning during an undercover operation involving suspected prostitution in Byron.
Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Captain Scott Behrns says his department was tipped off twice last month about suspected prostitution at the Shanghai Spa at 11 2nd Ave SW, located on the south side of Highway 14.
Two female employees, ages 25 and 31, were arrested, booked and released and are expected to face prosecution. The two live in the same building.
Behrns says a 63-year-old Wisconsin man was there at the time of the bust and admitted he had paid for a sex act. He is also expected to face charges.
Behrns says the owner of the business apparently was not aware of the illegal activity. He says the investigation into the case is ongoing.
