Rochester Business Handing Out 100+ Free Turkeys On Friday

'Tis the season when we need to start defrosting our turkey for the big Thanksgiving Day.  This year though, more people are struggling to pay their bills and with the price of meat continuing to increase, a turkey just isn't doable for Thanksgiving.  A generous Rochester, Minnesota is stepping up to help this holiday season and is giving away 112 turkeys on Friday.

I saw over on Spotted in Rochester this morning a post about free turkeys being handed out on Friday.  Sometimes, things on the internet are not true.  Shocker, I know.  So I reached out to Elcor Construction to double-check and verify if what I read was actually true.

Jared Penz at Elcor Construction got back to me extremely fast and verified that there are 112 turkeys that were purchased from Ye Olde Butcher Shoppe are going to be handed out on Friday.  Here's what you need to know if you or someone you know is in need of a turkey this year:

• WHEN:  Friday, November 18th, 2022
• TIME:  4:30 pm
• WHERE: Autumn Ridge Church, 3611 Salem Rd Sw, Rochester, Minnesota (Get Directions to Autumn Ridge Church here)
• DETAILS ON THE GIVEAWAY: There will be several individuals standing at the entrance and will be handing out 112 tickets for the turkeys.
