Rochester Catholic Schools Announces Plans For New School Year
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester’s Catholic Schools system is planning to hold classes at its schools when the 2020-2021 year begins.
Like other private and public schools, RCS was forced to finish the current school year using distance learning at its five sites due to state restrictions that were ordered as the COVID-19 pandemic began.
RCS released this statement Friday:
“ It is our intent on being in school buildings to begin the 2020-2021 academic year. We are making plans and preparations mindful of the current guidelines and any potential changes to the recommendations over the coming months. We will be working with staff and seeking input from families to develop plans for operating in our buildings safely and potential alternatives should they be necessary. This fall will most likely look different with the use of precautions such as social distancing and additional recommendations as needed. “
Rochester Public Schools hasn't yet announced what its plans are for the new school year.
