Rochester, MN (KROC News) - It’s a done deal. The Rochester City Council Wednesday night quietly gave final approval to significant salary increases.

The adopted figures are lower than what was initially approved in December.

The end result will pay councilmembers just over $39,000 per year while the council president will receive $47,000. The mayor’s salary was set at $65,700.

Council President Randy Staver and 5th Ward Rep. Shaun Palmer voted against the increases.
