Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The same crook apparently struck the same victims twice last week in a northeast Rochester neighborhood.
A Rochester couple contacted police Friday to report their 2019 car had been stolen from their home located on the 2900 block of Ivory Rd NE, near Century High School.
The couple who are in their 70s said the vehicle had been left unlocked with the key inside in their driveway. It was stolen sometime between 2:30 pm Thursday and when it was discovered missing at 11:30 am Friday.
Police located the vehicle a few hours later parked in the 400 block of 31st St NE. The key was not inside the vehicle.
The couple later told police someone had entered their home and stole the woman’s purse and the man’s wallet.
The thief apparently used the house key that was on the car key ring to gain entrance.
