Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has admitted to a felony fraud theft charge involving fraudulent Medicaid claims.

55-year-old Hamdi Aden today entered a guilty plea to one count of theft by false representation through a plea deal that will result in the dismissal of four other counts of the same crime. He was accused of submitting bogus claims through his business, Shiffo Home Health Care, between October 2014 and February 2016. The claims involved services for personal care assistance provided by a person who was not qualified and four PCA services that were not provided

The plea agreement calls for a stayed prison sentence and up to five years on probation with 200 hours of community service. Aden would also be required to pay over $80,000 in restitution. His sentencing hearing has been scheduled for August 9.
