Construction crews seem to be the norm in Rochester.  Mayo Clinic has a multi-billion dollar project in the works and the Link Bus Rapid Transit project is underway.  Our own building, Townsquare Media, is getting quite the facelift too!  (If you haven't driven by lately, you should.)

Beyond the orange cones and "Road Closed" signs, another project appears to have started in Med City.

Another Construction Project Announced in Rochester, Minnesota

Change is good...but life can be a bit messy when change is in progress.  According to an e-mail that I got, it appears that a pretty popular gym in Rochester is getting some new sparkle.

Renovations Have Started at Planet Fitness in Rochester, Minnesota

Last week, an e-mail went out to members of the Planet Fitness location at 1021 15th Ave. SE in Rochester, letting them know that a few renovations were in the works.  Some areas of the gym will be unavailable at times and there is a week when the gym will be completely closed.  According to that message, here's what to expect for the next few weeks:

Phase 1. Beginning November 3rd, will include reconditing and reconfiguring some walls, including the half walls in the rear of the gym. This may require some areas of the gym to be closed off.

Phase 2. Beginning November 13th, Will require closing the Black Card Lounge area. From November 13th through December 8th.

Wow! Check out how Rochester has changed throughout the years in these Google photos.

As we are soaring down Hwy 52, it is hard to imagine what life was like in our town before the Target store was built where it is today. Or the house that you live in now, at one point in town, that wasn't there. In fact, Rochester has grown so fast throughout the years, most of our houses weren't even around 50 years ago! Don't believe me? Look through these photos to get a glimpse of what Rochester was like years ago.
