Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police have released the name of the elderly woman who suffered fatal injuries in a late afternoon crash yesterday.

Police Captain Casey Moilanen says 82-year-old Audre Quandt was pronounced dead at the scene of the deadly collision at the intersection of 65th Street and Bandel Road Northwest on the east side of Highway 52. She was in the front passenger seat of the car, which took the brunt of the impact when it collided with a pickup truck around 5 PM.

The driver of the car was identified as 87-year-old Luverne Quandt. He was transported to St. Marys Hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the pickup, 63-year-old Kenneth Aaker, was not hurt.

Captain Moilanen says the crash remains under investigation.
