Rochester, MN ( KROC AM News) - Rochester police are investigating a shooting reported late Thursday night.

Officers were called to a residence in the 600 block of Circle Court SW around 11:00 PM and were told the victim was on his way to the hospital.

Officers ordered the occupants of the home to come out and all but one complied. A 29-year-old man initially refused to come out but did so when the officers threatened to send a K9 inside. That suspect and a 21-year-old man were taken into custody.

Police Capt. Casey Moilanen says a 17-year-old female drove the 22-year-old victim to the hospital where he was treated for a bullet wound to the leg. Moilanen says the injury was believed to be non-life threatening.

Moilanen says the investigation is “very fluid” and it appears the incident began as an argument over a female.
